We collect limited, non-personal technical information such as:

• App version
• Crash reports and diagnostic data

This information is used to maintain stability and improve app performance.

Usage Information

We collect anonymized information about how users interact with safeguards — for example, which protections are enabled and how often Wi-Fi or device security scans are run. This data does not identify you and is used solely to improve the product.

User-Provided Information

If you contact support, we collect only what you voluntarily provide, such as your email address and message content.

Permissions

The app may request access to:

• Local network, to inspect the Wi-Fi connection you're currently on
• Notifications, to alert you when a new breach matches your email
• Content filter / Safari extension, to enable Ad Blocker and Web Shield
• SMS filter extension, to detect and filter scam and phishing messages

All permissions are optional and can be managed in your device settings. Identity Monitoring submits a one-way hash of your email to public breach lookups; the email itself is not stored on our servers.

2. How We Use Information

Collected information is used to:

• Operate and maintain the app
• Run on-device security scoring and surface results for your review
• Notify you of breaches involving your email
• Improve performance and user experience
• Provide customer support
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use collected data for targeted advertising.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. We may use trusted third-party services, such as crash reporting tools and the breach-data provider used by Identity Monitoring, solely to diagnose technical issues and run lookups. These services do not receive access to your message contents, browsing activity, or device contents.

4. Data Security and Retention

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information.

• Safeguard checks (device scans, Wi-Fi inspection, SMS filtering, ad and tracker blocking) run on your device. Their results are not uploaded to our servers as part of normal app operation.
• Diagnostic data is retained only as long as necessary for stability and improvement purposes.

5. Children's Privacy

The app is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If such data is identified, it will be deleted promptly.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, or to withdraw consent where applicable.
